So, Usain Bolt smashed the world 100 M sprint record with a run that saw him inexplicably slow down with about 30 metres to go, rather than really smash the world record by half a second - which would be the biggest smashing of any record in the history of record smashing.
It was unbelievable.
Really unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Naturally, he took all the drug tests that were asked of him in Beijing and I have no doubt that he will pass all these tests. I’m quite positive that simply because he comes from Jamaica and there is no systematic drug-testing body in that particular country (just like Ethiopia, who will probably win a load of medals in track and field and Nigeria, who will also win a load of medals) has no real bearing on his unbelievable achievement.
It really was unbelievable.
In Jamaica, the yam is a dietary staple, so perhaps it is the humble yam that gives Usain Bolt his extra 5 metres over all the other athletes in the entire world. Perhaps that is why?
Bolt ran one hundredth faster than Ben Johnson did in 1988 when he was juiced up on drugs. Only seven athletes have ever run faster than 9.8 and three of them (Ben Johnson, Tim Montgomery and Justin Gatlin) have been banned for doping and Maurice Greene has been named by a steroid trafficker as somebody he supplied with drugs. Victor Conte of BALCO has famously said that anybody that runs sub-9.8 is ’suspicious’ and Ben Johnson has asserted that all the top athletes are on the juice. Even Carl Lewis tested positive for Ephedrine and Pseudoephidrine and bronchodilators, but he pleaded inadvertent use and was allowed to go to the Soeul Olympics.
Bolt ran 9.69 and could easily have run 9.65 or maybe 9.6. He only started running 100 metres in May of this year and only came to attention in this competition on May 3rd when he ran the second-fastest ‘legal’ time in history (the fastest was fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell). By the end of May he smashed the world record. Up to then, he was a world-class 200 metres runner having won a silver medal in the world championships.
He has explosive power and that is where he wins. Apparently, he only took 41 paces to win the Olympics.
41 paces? Unbelievable.

He was also a world junior champion at 15 when he ran 20.4 for 200 metres. He also won it when he was 17 when he ran 19.9. This guy has been around for years and in my opinion is just a freak on nature and totally believable.
So the 7 other athletes (including the Americans) weren’t on drugs too. Since you are implying this about Usain. Pathetic. Acknowledge greatness.

Nope. Until the sport of sprinting (and cycling) can prove themselves to be free of drugs, then no.
