This news has stunned me in a way that has surprised me.  I have had lots of dealings with London Zoo.  I have spoken there at evolutionary biology meetings and been for a few beers in the zoo club and it is all very positive and above all scientific.

Today, I find out that Cincinnati zoo, unlike its honourable and rational cousin in London, is now selling combination tickets to the zoo and the ridiculous creation museum.

Let’s be clear about this.  Creationism is a load of crap.  It is unscientific claptrap made up by a bunch of non-scientist spookey-story writers.  Evolution is a scientific discipline that makes sense from every angle.  It is a proven scientific fact and it is an elegant and complete picture that we are refining and expanding on every day.

That the Cincinnati zoo is engaging with these hucksters is nothing short of a disgrace.

Shame on you Cincinnati zoo.
